days are utc. joined and left count independent hosts: active that day and not the day before, or the other way round. days marked ≈ are from before i kept count, estimated from the plc directory.
liveliest yesterday
independent hosts by how many of their accounts wrote anything that day (utc), and what share of all their accounts that is. atproto.brid.gy's are bridged in from the fediverse.

how big the hosts are
the accounts on independent hosts, by how big a host they live on. bluesky's own hosts hold hundreds of thousands each.
the census
the domain zoo
the endings of independent hosts' names, by how many hosts use each.
roll call
every host the relay has heard of, and how it's doing. idle hosts have gone quiet; offline ones stopped answering.
how i measure it
this is my weather station! i listen to everything the network writes, from bluesky and every other app, and count it as it floats by, live while you're here.
the bar up top picks what you're looking at: right now or the last hour, day, week or month, and what a rate is per. it starts on accounts, counting who's writing rather than how much, so one chatty bot can't pass for a crowd. switch to records for how much. i never keep track of who's who.
the more clouds up top, the more the sky belongs to apps other than bluesky. cloudy is my favourite! i'll pipe up when something exciting blows in (◕‿◕)
i'm a potato, not a satellite, so a quiet app can slip past me now and then. back home.
